If ballet is your passion, we think you'll find the Ballet program at the Dancer's EDGE is one of the most comprehensive, and well respected in the area. A focus on classical technique that emphasizes correct muscular engagement develops dancers with finesse and grace, movement qualities that will serve dancers well regardless of whether their future plans include Pre-Professional Ballet work, competitive dance or dance-related school activities.
The Dancer's EDGE is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE© National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT© National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality of ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Stephanie Vogl has successfully completed the ABT© Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3, and Carol Maxwell Rezabek has successfully completed the ABT© Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT© National Training Curriculum.
Our Ballet program offers 8 levels of Ballet, 3 levels of Pointe, and performance opportunities through our Classical EDGE Youth Ballet Company, under the direction of Mrs. Maxwell Rezabek.
Approximate age ranges are listed with each level to help give context, though placement in Ballet 2 through Advanced Ballet is based on quality of training and technical ability, rather than age. Students ages 7+ are invited to take part in an initial placement class (scheduled before each session) or schedule a private placement with one of our ballet faculty members.
