The Classical EDGE Youth Ballet is here!
Performance opportunities are the lifeblood of any dancer. They add a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to a dancer's repertoire that a ballet class alone cannot provide.
The Classical EDGE Youth Ballet is designed to offer dancers the opportunity to learn and perform selections from traditional classical ballets. It is open to all interested dancers enrolled in Ballet 3 or higher at the Dancer's EDGE.

• Enhance the natural enjoyment of ballet by means of the earnest practice and presentation of classical dance.
• Present exceptional performances that serve to inform and inspire both the performers and audience alike.
• Develop excellent ballet dancers who possess strength, suppleness, technical mastery and artistic sensitivity, while also instilling confidence and poise.
• Support the mission of enabling dedicated students, who possess the requisite physical and artistic attributes, to qualify for professional performance schools and to pursue professional dance careers.

The Dancer's EDGE is thrilled to announce the construction of our new facility in Hiawatha. We are excited to take the wrap off this exciting project and provide you with plenty of info on everything EDGE 2.0!
Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked EDGE 2.0 questions:
Where is the new studio located?
Our new studio will be located on Hawkeye Drive in Hiawatha directly across from UPS in the Tower Commerce Park (A short 2 min. drive from our current facility).
When will the building be completed?
We plan to begin dancing in our new studio when everyone returns from Holiday Break. We're excited to "start fresh" in our new studio in 2012!
What will the new studio be like?
If you have been inside our current facility, you are familiar with the warm and open environment it provides to both dancers and visitors. EDGE 2.0 will bring all of the 'likes' of our current facility without any of its draw backs. This includes:
Over four times as large as our current facility (Nearly 13,000 SF compared to 2900).
4 large, state-of-the-art studio rooms equipped with floating Harlequin© floors, LED TV's,12 foot ceilings, high quality sound systems, and plenty of windows to let in natural light.
Comfortable viewing areas for guests with large windows looking into the studio rooms, plenty of seating, laptop counters, and free Wi-Fi access.
A double-wide entry way to help ease traffic flow and congestion at the busiest part of the building.
Over 75 parking spaces with a dedicated "Dancer Drop-Off" Lane. Two entrances to the parking lot will be provided, one off Metzger Drive and one off Hawkeye Drive.
A larger, easy to access Dancer's Lounge equipped with lockers and changing areas.
A sibling lounge for brothers and sisters to play at the studio, allowing parents to enjoy watching their dancer in class.
A fully staffed Info Center.
EDGE Apparel easily accessible right behind the Info Center and open every day during class hours.
6 Independent heating and cooling systems to keep both studio rooms and open/common areas comfortable year-round.
Room to expand to keep the studio comfortable and adaptable.

You're not moving until January, but your School Year schedule lists four rooms. How are you going to do that?
During the months of September-December, we will utilize both our current facility as well as the former Habitat for Humanity Re-Store site across the street from us at 725 North Center Point Road. The Re-Store will house studio's C and D and will be equipped with all of the necessities such as floating Harlequin floors, restrooms, water stations and plenty of room for dancing.
When we return from the Holiday break in January 2012, we will all be together again under the same roof at EDGE 2.0.
When will construction start?
Site and road work is already underway! We will be posting frequent Progress Pics as the foundation is poured and construction progresses.
Do you have a floor plan and renderings of the new studio?
We will have web-friendly plans and renderings very shortly! Keep your eyes peeled for your first glimpse of EDGE 2.0 through the architect's eyes!
